We have brainstormed what the word culture means to us and came up with so many different opinions. We looked at the dictionary and online to think about how other people define culture, then we wrote our very own room teo definition.</div><div><br /></div><div>In Room Two culture means</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>"The things groups of people do and the way they do them."</div><div><br /></div><div>We have begun to read different traditional tales from around the world, to help us use the questioning reading strategy we have begun to do some "Hot Seating". When we are in the "Hot Seat" we go into role of a character from one of the stories we have read. The rest of the class asks the character some 5W and H questions. We noticed the poem had paragraphs - Mrs McEwen told us the paragraphs in a poem are called stanzas.  We decided to do some critical thinking about stanzas.<div><br /></div><div>Sarah thought it would be a good idea to compare stanzas and paragraphs so we understand more about them. We thought we would use white and blue hat thinking to do this.</div><div><br /></div><div>Joseph said a venn diagram would be a good graphic organiser to use because we can see things that are the same and things that are different.
